We developed a communication strategy, visual style and content for O Sole Mio - a young Neapolitan pizzeria in the heart of Riga. Our task was to bring the atmosphere of real Italy into the digital space and make social media a natural extension of the restaurant's daily life.

About the client
Authentic Neapolitan pizza in the heart of Riga
O Sole Mio opened as a small family-run pizzeria with fewer than forty seats and one clear ambition - to bring authentic Naples to Riga. The kitchen was led by chef Alcide Langella, who relocated from Naples specifically to prepare traditional Neapolitan pizza using authentic techniques and ingredients. From the very beginning, the restaurant focused on creating an experience that felt genuinely Italian rather than simply serving Italian food.

Make people feel Italy before they walk through the door
When O Sole Mio approached us, the restaurant already had its logo and visual identity. What it lacked was a distinctive digital personality. Our challenge wasn't simply to manage social media - it was to build a communication style that reflected the warmth, authenticity and everyday atmosphere of an Italian neighbourhood pizzeria.
Approach
Bringing the restaurant to life beyond its walls
We didn't treat social media as a place for food photos. We created a digital extension of the restaurant. We showed the kitchen at work, introduced guests to the chef, told stories about Neapolitan traditions, filmed the cooking process, organised tastings and events, followed trends and adapted them to the brand's character. Every post helped maintain the feeling that the restaurant was alive, evolving and full of new stories every day.

Our goal wasn't simply to showcase dishes - we wanted people to experience the atmosphere behind them: the people, the craftsmanship, the traditions, the emotions. Every publication became another reason to visit the restaurant - or come back again.

Content strategy
Building habits through everyday stories
Rather than focusing on promotions, we focused on moments: fresh pizzas coming out of the oven, the chef preparing dough, busy evenings, morning preparations, Italian hospitality. The restaurant became part of people's daily digital routine, not just another business account in their feed.

Every interaction was designed to reinforce the same feeling customers experienced when walking into O Sole Mio - warm, authentic, welcoming, simple. Just like a neighbourhood pizzeria somewhere in Naples.

Named among 50 Top Pizza Europe's Excellent Pizzerias
In its 50 Top Pizza Europe 2023 guide, the reviewers singled out chef Alcide Langella's traditional Neapolitan style - a thin, slightly raised crust and a dough that melts in the mouth - served in the atmosphere of a classic Italian trattoria, checkered tablecloths included. Classic variations like the Diavola and the Romana were called out as perfectly executed, alongside a warm, family-style service.
